Yoga Group
The word ‘yoga’ comes from Sanskrit and means to yoke or unite body, mind and spirit.Yoga is the most effective form of exercise for health, fitness, and general well being. Instead of isolating body parts and fitness components like conventional training methods, yoga uses the whole body and all its organ systems.
Exercises are integrated with conscious direct breathing techniques, thereby integrating body mind and breath. Muscles are stretched and strengthened through their full range of movement, increasing the body’s ability to operate as one functional unit. The circulation is greatly improved. Internal organs, muscles, nerves, bones and joints all benefit from the practice of yoga. Furthermore, yoga heals on all levels; physical, mental and emotional.
No expensive equipment or clothing is required to practice yoga. Yoga works by using the levers and counter-levers of the limbs, working the body in different body positions, and using the tension in one muscle group to stretch the opposing muscle group. The changes in body position combined with deep conscious breathing dramatically stimulate the circulation, and helps nourish all body parts, and remove built up toxins.
Sessions end with a period of relaxation to calm the mind as well as the body………..you will feel ‘a new’ you. The only way to know more about yoga is to try it for yourself, to have ‘a go’ miss out anything that you feel is not for you.
